Human Rights at Sea International is proud to support United Nations World Oceans Day event, taking place on 7 June 2024 both virtually (10AM-1:30PM EDT) and at the UN headquarters in New York.
The event is hosted by the United Nations Division for Ocean Affairs and the Law of the Sea, Office of Legal Affairs (DOALOS) in partnership with Oceanic Global.
World Oceans Day is 8 June.
This year’s World Oceans Day theme is ‘Awaken New Depths’ and serves as a stark reminder that efforts to protect our Blue Planet have only ‘skimmed the surface.’ To counter this alarming reality, global policymakers, activists, and changemakers will be brought together to renew our commitment to ocean health.
