HRAS International has continued its series of annual lectures for the European Union funded European and International Human Rights at Sea course at the University of Milan-Bicocca, Italy.

As part of the final course lectures, HRAS international provided the education perspective of civil society development in the international human rights at sea operations, legal and academic spaces.

Delivering two lectures, the topics covered were: 'The Impact of Civil Society on the Ongoing Development of Human Rights Protections at Sea' and 'Modern Slavery & Exploitation at Sea'.

The European and international Human Rights at Sea (EHRAS) is a project co-funded by the European Union under the Erasmus + Jean Monnet Action scheme and led by Professor Irini Papanicolopulu.
